Efforts since 2007
Our community is racially diverse with 48.5% students and 27.3% faculty of color in 2021-2022. Significant strategic efforts have been made to create a more diverse DAI community, which include:
- Increasing the diversity of our faculty through active searches and utilizing campus programs and incentives.
- Increasing the diversity of our students by changing audition and recruiting processes.
- Raising funds for scholarships through our No Debt for Dancers Initiative, specifically targeted for the BIPOC community.
