About Sojung (Esther) Lim
Bio
Sojung Esther Lim comes from South Korea and holds a BA in Dance from the University of Washington. She is a “Movement Communicator” who combines “mind” and “movement” in dance and creates dance works inspired by historical events, social issues, films, and emotions to communicate with the world. Sojung has performed UW Dance Presents, UW MFA Dance, and choreographed UW Dance Majors concerts. She also has been involved with the Seattle dance and Korean communities including works with “Seattle International Dance Festival 2020” (Seattle). “Residency Cunningham Centennial Celebration” (Seattle) “ ‘Migra’ by Kamchatka Theatre Company from Spain (Seoul), “NiNe Lives” (Seattle), “ ‘Promise of Green’, The Silo 3 Project” (Seattle), “ ‘Korea’ 20th Annual New Year Celebration (Tacoma), etc. She explores diversity as well as studying theatre production at the University of London in the United Kingdom. Sojung starts a new journey with Dance at Illinois, pursuing MFA in dance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
