About Peggy Wells
Peggy Wells has been with the University of Illinois since 2005 and hails from Bement where she resides with her husband, Bob. Together they have four children, Lucas, Jordan, Brad and Cara, plus 5 grandchildren, as well as their beautiful dog, Cooper, a Pomeranian. Peggy grew up in Bement, a community that is known for Abraham Lincoln visiting in 1858 to plan debates with Stephen Douglas, and for a Marilyn Monroe visit to Bement’s Centennial Celebration in 1955!
Peggy is the pianist at the Bement Christian Church, and in her spare time, she likes to read, swim, enjoy the outdoors and watch the Carol Burnett Show just to see the Ernie Flatt Dancers perform! The highlight of the holiday season is taking her eldest granddaughter, Sammi to see The Nutcracker each year at Krannert Center, a family tradition since 2004!
