About Chelsea Wahrendorf
Bio
Chelsea is a dancer, choreographer, and educator. She received her BFA in dance from the College at Brockport and has been educating and training dancers for the past 12 years. During this time she has also traveled and performed with several companies including Mayhem Dance, Kista Tucker Dance, and Delucia-Benson Dance; and performed with the Vision of Sound Tour, the Rochester Fringe Festival, and at Green Space and Center of Performing Research in NYC. She has had the privilege of studying under Bill Evans and working with artists such as Monica Bill Barnes, the Jose Limon Company, and Earl Mosley. She is eager to further her education and expand upon the boundaries of composition. She hopes to create and provoke both excitement and conflict within her community of dancers, as well as develop techniques and strength to encourage longevity in the field. She currently lives in upstate NY but is thrilled to be embarking upon the journey of earning her MFA in dance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the fall of 2024.
