Summer dance festivals and some large companies offer opportunities to train and study. Check these options as well as the list maintained by the Department of Dance to advance your career.

Career Paths

In a survey of 350 Department of Dance alumni: —21% were teaching in higher education —17% were teaching body work, fitness, or physical, occupational, or dance therapy —16% were teaching privately or in public schools —14% were employed in fields including social entrepreneurship, medicine, wellness, counseling, and law —12% were working at dance companies —8.5% were entrepreneurs —8% were artistic directors —7% were freelancing —4% were working in arts administration
