The Fine and Applied Arts Community of Scholars (FAA COS) Campus Visit Program introduces prospective FAA graduate students from populations underrepresented in graduate education to the college and community. The FAA COS campus visit will allow you to learn of the opportunities that are available to you as a graduate student at Illinois through face-to-face meetings with faculty, administrators, and current graduate students. You will also have the opportunity to complete your audition and/or interview for your degree program during your visit (if applicable to your program of study). The FAA COS visit offers you an opportunity to become acquainted with the broader campus, as well as will introduce you to the diverse academic, cultural, and social environment at Illinois.
If you are selected to participate in the FAA COS program, your travel and lodging will be covered by the university. Students will travel to campus on February 11 and travel home on February 14. To apply for the visit program, please complete the Community of Scholars form no later than December 1, 2018. Please note that you must complete the Graduate College application by December 1, 2018 in order to be eligible for the FAA COS visit.
Participants will be selected and notified by December 12, 2018. Those who are selected for the program will be contacted by the Graduate College Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office and L&L Travel Agency to finalize travel arrangements (please do not make any arrangements on your own).
For more information about the campus program that FAA COS is modeled after, please see the Graduate College COS program. Please contact email@example.com if you have any questions. We are looking forward to you visiting our campus.
